How Refund Amounts Are Determined

Refund eligibility depends on the stage of your case at the time of cancellation.

Payment Structure
- $165 UVA Service Fee (professional assistance)
- Government Interview (MRV) Fee — typically $185 / $205 / $315 depending on visa category, paid directly to the U.S. embassy system
Government MRV fees are set by the U.S. Department of State and are non-refundable once paid to the embassy.

Refund Evaluation Stages

1. No Government Fee Paid & No Appointment Activity

If no government fee has been paid and no appointment activity has occurred, your order may qualify for a full refund of eligible amounts.

2. Request Based on Order Misunderstanding

When placing an order, you authorize UVA to act on your behalf to assist with your DS-160 form preparation and appointment scheduling. This authorization is confirmed during checkout and in order communications.

If cancellation is requested shortly after purchase due to a misunderstanding of the service, partial goodwill refunds of the service fee may be considered.

3. Appointment Cannot Be Booked Due to System Restrictions

If assistance is genuinely not possible due to technical system restrictions (such as unrecoverable duplicate profiles or government system errors), your case will be reviewed for appropriate refund eligibility.
